Launching NetLanvas here today it's a self-hosted tool that builds a live topology map of your network automatically: every device, every link, every VLAN, kept current without you doing anything. On top of the mapping, it runs standing security checks most networks never get audited for default/public SNMP community strings still enabled, exposed management interfaces, unverified access points, devices that show up with no explanation.
It's open source (Apache 2.0) github.com/markeaster/NetLanvas runs on Docker (a Pi handles it fine) or as a native Windows/macOS install. There's a live read-only demo if you want to poke around before installing: demo.netlanvas.com
Curious what this crowd runs today for network visibility dedicated NMS, a spreadsheet, nothing? And what would make a topology/security tool actually worth installing vs. just living with router admin pages one device at a time.
NetLanvas automatically discovers, maps, and monitors every device on your network — live topology, VLAN awareness, historical snapshots, SNMP/security auditing, and alerting. Open source (Apache 2.0), runs entirely on your own hardware (Docker, Windows, or macOS). Nothing about your network ever leaves the box — and now you can verify that yourself. First 100 beta users who opt into telemetry get 6 months of Premium free.
