I have worked in VC- and PE-backed product and services businesses, both in start-up and growth mode, as well as blue-chip consultancies. My heritage back to the late 1980's was as a product development engineering building high speed digital hardware, embedded systems software and user interaction elements of professional digital audio and video equipment at companies such as Solid State Logic, Digital Audio Research, Akai Digital and Lightworks.
