What needs improvement

It would be great to see even more AI-driven tools for material and lighting adjustments, plus continued expansion of the asset library. Slight optimization for heavier scenes would also make the experience even better.

vs Alternatives

I chose D5 Render because it’s easy to use, delivers realistic results fast, and works great with my workflow. The AI features and real-time rendering really save time and make the whole process more enjoyable.

How smooth is real-time ray tracing on your hardware?

It runs really smoothly on my RTX GPU. The lighting and reflections update instantly, and even with detailed scenes, performance stays stable and responsive.

Does the interface feel intuitive for new users?

Yes, definitely! The interface feels very intuitive and easy to learn, even for beginners. I didn’t need much time to get used to it, everything is well-organized and simple to navigate. The icons, sliders, and layout make it easy to understand what each tool does, so you can focus more on creating rather than figuring things out.

If you’re new to rendering, D5 makes the process much less intimidating. Though for really complex scenes, you might still need a bit of time to explore all the features, overall it’s very beginner-friendly and smooth to use.

What GPU specs are needed for smooth performance?

I’ve found that having a good GPU really makes a difference. I’d recommend at least an RTX 3060 or higher for smooth real-time rendering. If you work on big projects, something like an RTX 4070 or 4080 runs D5 Render perfectly.
