Why SerenityMate was created — Mexico context

The idea emerged from a common gap in Mexico: after discharge from a rehab center, many people lose daily structure and ongoing support. Clinics and therapists highlighted three issues: (1) limited follow-up between sessions, (2) relapses triggered by stress, environment, or lack of an immediate support network, and (3) fragmented tools (reminders, notes, chats) that don t build habits.

SerenityMate proposes a simple, privacy-first post-rehab companion for Mexico:

  • Daily recovery plans (routines, goals, micro-habits)

  • Quick mood/craving check-ins with risk alerts

  • Gentle reminders for meds/therapy

  • One-tap SOS to trusted contacts

  • Spanish psychoeducation tailored to local context

The prototype is being validated with clinics and recovery communities in to ensure real utility and respectful, non-stigmatizing language.

SerenityMate - Post-rehab companion for daily sobriety support

SerenityMate is a post-rehab companion that keeps recovery on track after treatment. The prototype delivers daily action plans, mood/craving check-ins, relapse-risk screens, reminders, and a one-tap SOS to trusted contacts. Designed with input from clinicians and people in recovery, it bridges the gap between discharge and real life. I’m a designer-founder building this as a lightweight, privacy-first tool to extend care beyond the clinic.
