Who's your favorite founder and why? 😎

For me, it's a guy named Marko Lazic who's building luccid.ai, which allows you to design your dream home. The reason why it's Marko is that he had to overcome a lot of challenges to get to where he is now and he's also building a kickass product to disrupt an old-school industry.

How do you decompress after a long day of being a Maker?

I'll go first. I workout, shower and sometimes take some CBD.

any tips on growing a newsletter?

currently building a daily newsletter aimed towards people who scroll on social media every morning. instead of waking up to chaotic feeds, how much nicer would it be to learn something cool in <5 minutes before you fully wake up and get out of bed? (quotidianlearning.substack.com) idk if my newsletter has a large audience and if it does, what's the best way to expand my reach?

I've helped tens of products multiply their revenue. AMA🔥

I'm an experienced marketer with a passion for startups and innovation. I switched from B2C and Consumer Product companies to AI SaaS and B2B marketing a year ago, and I love it! I've developed marketing strategies for multiple projects in different fields across all continents! I worked with paid ads, PR, SEO, email marketing, product development, and more. Feel free to ask me anything about your marketing, or feedback if you also want to make the switch from B2C to B2B, and I'll try to give you some tips!

As a marketer, what books have you read that helped you grow?

I have a confession. I'm a Petroleum Engineering major who's in love with marketing. Sometimes, I think I'm too in over my head. I started doing "marketing" with social media management as my first foray into anything remotely associated with digital marketing (show of hands if you started the popular way). And then, I think I lost a bit of love for social media marketing, and moved on quickly to something shiny email marketing. This was heaven while it lasted. I sold personal financial management courses and eBooks for a popular consultant here in my country. The conversations in the inboxes were so direct and personal that it always felt like I was looking directly at, and talking to the person's soul. I also tried my hands on SEO and content strategy. Doesn't it just feel amazing how you pick up so many useful micro-skills for digital marketing? That's always so intriguing. Now, I do product marketing, thanks to charting newer territories. I find it intriguing how numerous teams work together to solve a problem. Be that small-scale, or global. And meeting a lot of amazing makers and marketers here launching really helpful products here daily (some of which have been time-savers for me) reinforced my reason why I want to identify with this industry. I read a book recently by Gabriel Weinberg and Justin Mares called, "Traction." Recommended by a senior colleague in marketing. The ideas in the book just made so much sense and held so many insights for me. And it made me understand one thing, "whatever you want to get better at, reading books help you navigate there faster." As a marketer, what book(s) gave you your best "aha!" moment?

Categories on Product Hunt

You might have noticed we added "categories" today. Over time, "topics" became more like keywords rather than useful for goal-directed searches within specific product verticals (which is most PH searches). Categories will help us improve search and browsing, as well as eventually a lot of other downstream features. Ex. Zoom *is* video conferencing software, not "tech, productivity, video, SDK, meetings" Categories are what your product is or what problem it solves. Topics might include general industries, specific features, technologies, or keywords. At the moment, categories are meant to supplement topics. Topics will still exist, although you can think of them more as tags than a primary taxonomy. We built out the a lot of this from scratch, so please suggest verticals we're missing if your product isn't categorized yet you can do so by editing your hub page. Lmk if you have any questions!

Lessons I learned from previous Product Hunt launch 🚀

Check out these tips from my own experiences. Let me know your own tips & tricks.   Be well-prepared: Be aware of what you are going to do through 3 stages: Pre-launch, Launching and Days after launching. My team will prepare a calendar, a launching checklist and content list for both Discussions and Pitch Stories. All materials need to be ready before posting the first discussion.  Content Direction: Product Hunt is kinda different from other marketplaces. The content topics need to be authentic and unique, that can engage with the whole community.  Leverage your network: Engage with the community on Product Hunt and across various channels before the launch to leverage your network to gather support and feedback. Don't wait until the launch day to announce your product. Engage with your email subscribers, social media followers, and industry influencers by sending teasers and sneak peeks prior to the launch. This generates buzz and increases the chances of securing initial upvotes and engagement.  Launch Time: Choose peak hours of Product Hunt  Engage actively during launch: Show gratitude for upvotes and create a dialogue that encourages users to explore your product further.  Take it easy: View your Product Hunt launch as a learning experience. Analyze the feedback, engagement, and metrics gathered during the campaign, and use them to fine-tune your product and marketing strategy for future launches.

We're launching tomorrow after nearly 2 years in Private Beta. Any last minute tips?

Exciting times! After onboarding hundreds of companies off of our waitlist over the past ~2 years we're finally ready to let everyone see what we've been up to. What are some last minute or unique launch tips we should consider? I've had a successful newsletter launch but figure a B2B launch is a whole separate beast.
