A much-needed and very well executed app.

Hi everyone, First of all thank you to @duncanjcarter for hunting us, very excited to be on Product Hunt! I'm the founder of Firedrop. We created it after seeing The Grid's early attempt at A.I. web design and felt we could approach it in a slightly different way. Our main priority is to give a bit more hands-on experience with the A.I. design process, and of course we have a chatbot to help...

We're using this for our own app and were paying for it (happily so) until recently. Delighted it's gone free but definitely worth charging for again at some point. One thing on my wishlist is to improve the search somehow. I realise that search is probably based on the photographer's tagging but perhaps implementing some kind of AI image tagging system would help make it more usable?

This is terrifying...

Great concept, I'm not sure how the whole death/coffin imagery is going to tackle stigma around failure though. Psychologically, death is what we fear most and will do anything to avoid.

Ibuprofen, aspirin and dehydration powder. Once before you pass out, and once before you wake up. Followed by a Full English breakfast. Sorted.

Thanks for this @jvetrau, and for featuring us on that list. There's a lot of fascinating work in the field of A.I. and design. I've been having some really good conversations with various developers and academics in this field lately, some of which would definitely be worthy of being on this page of yours. I'll drop you a line with some ideas!

Interesting product, how does it differ from / compete with Google Allo?

Really nice implementation, the experience reminds me of using Ghost for the first time after migrating from Wordpress.

Not as good as the trolley bags that you can sit on and ride.

I see you're using Quill :) The simplicity of this is nice but don't you think it's a little too basic? I mean, even about.me offers a few customisation options.

I can see this having some useful applications, but not in the current bulky form factor. I certainly wouldn't want loads of these stuck all over my house. Also, the name... why "Thingzo"??

I really think that charging for this is premature. I realise it's not a lot of money but when you're competing with similar free apps out there then you have to work very hard to prove your value. And if there are bugs as @vladzima suggests below (which is the reason I won't be trying it just now), then all the less reason to charge up front. I think it would have made a lot more sense to have...
