Every day, The Least Dangerous To-Do List gives you six decidedly low-effort tasks that as a living, breathing human being you're probably going to do anyway. Why not get the sweet reward of checking them off your to-do list, too?

After the wild success of The Most Dangerous Writing App (called "sadistic" and "brutal" by WIRED and acquired by Squibler last year), I decided to make another preposterously antithetical productivity app. Funny enough, I've been using it myself for several months now and it still adds a moment of delight to my every day. Here is to making the world a slightly weirder place.

Tonies are made by a small company in Germany and are all the hype there, but expanding quickly across the world. I got one for our kiddo and he loves it. From a UX perspective, this is one of the most elegant, simple, evocative interfaces I've seen.

Put a Tonie figurine on the box, and their story and songs will automatically download and start playing. Had enough? Just take it off the box. Or record your own stories and assign them to your kid's Tonies!

That's... a lot of hype for putting two different box shadows on a div. There's a lot of things to like in Neumorphism as a concept, but there's also a lot of work to be done. For example, add pressed states to buttons! Adjust shadow colors based on background!

I replaced four different tools with Hammerspoon - it handles my window management (replacing Slate), inserting Snippets (replacing TextExpander), keeping my Mac await when necessary (replacing Caffeine), and handles various app specific scripting (replacing an overgrown AppleScript mayhem). I sync my configuration between Macs, so that when I get a new machine it works exactly like the old one...

When superdays was still in private beta, I did an entire superweek. Yes, 8 days, 10 hours a day, completely filled with whatever my friends thought I should do. It was one of the most overwhelming, exciting, giddy, nerve-wracking weeks of my life. I discovered hidden libraries, went indoor skydiving, camped under a starlit sky to watch a meteor shower, wrote a letter to my favourite author,...

Almost good. Almost. Pros: Who didn't love text adventures in the 80s? They're coming back! Cons: Compared to the Lifeline series, this feels unpolished, with too much exposition, a weaker story, too many little annoyances.

Started using Coda this weekend for two small teams and am absolutely in love with it - thanks @shishirmehrotra, @alexdeneui. One question: is accessing Tables via an API possible / on the roadmap? We have a lot of integrations with our current task trackers to eg. nag people on Slack to update their status etc.

Just put a mobi or pdf file into a dropbox folder and it will appear on your kindle. Great UX!
