What exactly am I paying for? Useless when you actually need them.
I bought an Airalo eSIM before going abroad — followed all the setup steps before leaving and made sure everything was in place. Landed and guess what? No data. Not even for a second. I had no way to message anyone, no access to maps, and couldn’t even contact Airalo to get support. The whole point of using Airalo was to avoid exactly this situation.
By the time I found Wi-Fi hours later, I saw they had finally responded — but with some basic, copy-paste advice from their FAQ that I had clearly already tried and even mentioned in my support request. It’s insulting, lazy, and a complete waste of time.
I replied via both email and WhatsApp. It’s now been over 8 hours and still no response and 2 days without data that I paid for. I literally didn’t get their message because I didn’t have the data they failed to provide. You can’t call yourself a travel connectivity service if people are left stranded on arrival with no access to support. And they still don’t want to give me my refund.
Sort yourselves out. I’m done with Airalo — and others should be warned.
