A few years ago, I watched a small business get torn apart by a breach they couldn’t afford to prevent. They had the will—but not the budget—for “enterprise-grade” security. That moment stuck with me. Today, I’m a hardcore security engineer and open-source builder, leading DefendStack—a community-driven BlueTeam project to make powerful, shift-left security accessible to everyone. With a focus on DevSecOps, Kubernetes security, and CI/CD integration, I’m building tools that are easy to use, effective in practice, and free from vendor lock-in. Security shouldn’t be a luxury.
