About

Michael Hensel is the solo founder of Lattecino, a cafe discovery platform built on measurements rather than opinions. After years in digital agencies, he began testing WiFi and rating coffee in person across Bali and Hamburg, building a dataset that now covers 488 cafes, 99 on-site speed tests and the espresso equipment on 74 bars. Lattecino enforces its ratings integrity in the database itself: imported venues are capped until a human verifies them, and no cafe can pay for a score. He runs the company with an AI operations layer, and argues that in an AI-saturated world, human connection is the scarcest capital.

Lattecino - Finally, permission to say hello in the café you're in

The person you should meet today is probably twenty feet away, in a café you have not found yet. Lattecino shows you both. Check in and see who is open to a hello. Mutual opt-in, declines stay invisible, only that room, never "nearby". And because a hello starts with trusting the room, we measure cafés by hand: real speed tests, coffee rated in person, the espresso machine written down. 488 cafés, exactly 3 earned a 5.0. Nobody can buy a rating. The room is the network.

Agent5 - Get smart on AI news, then predict what happens next

Agent5 turns AI news into a daily test of your judgment. Pick the stories you care about, get a short "get smart on it" breakdown of what actually matters, then make a prediction about what happens next, and get scored over time against what really happened. Most ways to keep up with AI tell you what happened. Agent5 asks whether you can see what's coming, and keeps an honest track record so you find out how sharp your read really is. Built solo by a non-technical founder. Free to play.

Founders: what is your favourite channel for growing your audience?

I m pretty sure most founders grow mainly on Twitter. Or LinkedIn.

But I ve realised it really depends on what kind of product you ve built.

If you re a fashion-focused founder, you probably grew up on Instagram or Pinterest.
