I'm a CSE student in Mumbai building GravityRank, a tool that checks whether AI engines like ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity mention your brand when someone asks for a product in your category.
What surprised me so far: ranking well on Google and getting cited by AI are not the same thing. Some sites with great SEO never get mentioned, and some small ones show up constantly.
Still figuring out why. Anyone here noticed their product getting (or not getting) recommended by AI? What did you change?
