This toy enchanted an entire generation of 80s children with cryptic answers to all of your pressing questions like "Without a doubt!" and "Signs point to yes!" It also introduced me to one of the best forms of gut decision-making, which is to let something arbitrary make the call and then read your immediate instinctive reaction. Kudos, Magic 8 Ball, and thanks for all the advice.
