Painful.
We built our email marketing systems around Mailchimp because we thought they're size and history would make them a great partners. Bad decision on our part.
Poor UI, very very slow at times, difficult to use, creating journeys is horrible, customer support is indifferent. But we built using their APIs so stuck for the moment as we have better things to spend our money on. But if I were starting over, I would find a different emailing partner.
What needs improvement
slow performance (1)customer support (2)complex UI (4)

Banks in the UK rip you off through your eyeballs when paying overseas invoices, so Wise is a great service to bypass them. Fees are low, FX rates are reasonable, it's easy to use and for us at Kirmada, sending money frequently from the UK to the EU, transfers are more or less instant.
Highly recommended.
What's great
easy to use (5)low fees (3)fast international transfers (4)

A great way to see new products and get exclusive lifetime deals to what would otherwise be a monthly subscription. Quality of offerings vary, but AppSumo do actively vet offers in their "Select" programme, assuring decent standards for Select products, at least.
A 60 day no-quibble refund policy does what it says, so you can try software knowing if you don't want to keep it, you don't pay for it.
Finally, we launched Kirmada on AppSumo as a Select offering and had an overall good experience, picking up about 700 new users who have given great feedback for our roadmap. If you're thinking of this for your own SaaS then you'll get the same, but you won't get MRR!
What's great
lifetime deals (3)market feedback (3)product vetting (1)refund policy (1)
