I think a pitch deck is almost like a passport for a startup =)

It needs to contain all the important information about the business, but at the same time, it has to be presented in the right, clear, and aesthetic way.

I m realizing how difficult that balance actually is...

Too much information - nobody wants to read it.
Too little - the business isn't clear.
Too much design - the message gets lost.
Too little - it becomes just another boring document.
So, I have a lot of questions =D

I m Joseph Walker, a technical writer who spends a lot of time turning complicated ideas into words that people can actually understand.

I ve always liked that moment when something confusing suddenly clicks whether it s a technical concept, a new product, or a piece of documentation that initially looks like a wall of text . That s a big part of why I enjoy technical writing.

I m here because I genuinely enjoy discovering new products, seeing how people build things, and learning from the stories behind them. I also like sharing feedback when I can, especially when it comes to making products and their messaging easier to understand.

Outside of writing, I m usually curious about how things work, why certain products catch people s attention, and what makes someone go from interesting to I actually want to try this.

I have seen a lot of people step back from platforms like LinkedIn after watching established accounts get randomly restricted without clear explanations. It makes you realize how risky is it to rely heavily on a platform that can pull the rug on your reach out of nowhere.

That situation made me rethink product Hunt. it used to be the go-to place for real feedback from early adopters. lately, though, it feels dominated by upvote groups, artificial praise, and makers trading favors. It's hard to tell if a top spot actually brings real users anymore or just temporary noise.

For anyone launching recently, where do you stand? Is Product Hunt still delivering real traction, or has it become too noisy to be worth the effort?
