What's great
I really like prompts.chat because it feels less like a “prompt dump” and more like a place to actually discover good prompts.
Browsing is super easy (categories/tags + search/filters), and the prompts themselves aren’t just random one-liners; you’ll find structured templates and longer, more useful setups too. The “Featured” section helps a lot when you just want the good stuff fast.
Also, being free/open-source and even self-hostable is a huge plus. It’s simple, practical, and clearly built by people who actually use this stuff.
What needs improvement
Only a few things I’d love to see next: collections/folders (beyond favorites) and shared “packs”, smarter filters (model compatibility, language, length, and clearer prompt types like structured/template/system), and quick feedback buttons like “worked for me / needs work” so the best prompts rise faster. Export/import would be amazing too (Notion/Markdown/JSON), along with better search (synonyms, typo tolerance, tag suggestions, similar prompts). And lightweight quality labels like “Tested” or “Community verified” would help a ton.
