Been running a ParrotOS server on Debian 12 for a while now. Using it with SABnzbd and a VPN with split routing so only the server traffic goes through the tunnel. Few things I learned: Debian 12 > Ubuntu for this, way more stable VPN per-user routing with iptables is easier than I expected Kill switch is a must Wrote up the full setup here if anyone wants it: debianguide.dev/r-homelab

Set up ParrotOS or Debian 12 with Usenet and SABnzbd on a VPS or home server. Includes VPN split-routing so only your server's traffic goes through the VPN — your family's internet stays untouched.
