Looked into this for education as some changes with Google Drive. Offers plenty of tags similar to that of a DAMs allowing for really easy search and share. A large hurdle is price of storage and a per-user price (classes can range from 8 to 20 students). Digital files range from source-files, videos, images, PDFs, code-text, and 3D file assets.
