D5 Render

What's great

fast performance (216)user-friendly interface (231)beginner-friendly (117)high-quality output (153)real-time rendering (212)extensive asset library (130)

It's great and easy to use. You get great lighting.

Even the free version has a lot of potential, and the output is on par in comparison to other expensive software, which speaks a lot about the company. I highly recommend using it for students or small studios as the asset library is the main reason I love it. The new AI tools allow you to do so much more with so little effort.

What needs improvement

Any issues syncing with Rhino, 3ds Max, or Blender?

Yes. Once the project is closed in Revit for example, I can't make a change inside Revit and reopen the D5 File and sync the changes. I have to start over in a whole new project or keep both D5 and Revit open which eats up alot of my computer resources

Is the asset library broad and high-quality enough?

Yes but I wish it had integration with other 3D libraries the way TwinMotion has Sketchfab

Does it support PBR materials and custom shaders well?

Yes
