Money Taco - It's a fuel gauge for your money.

Let's face it, if you had to use a mobile app to check how much fuel you had in your car, people would be running out of gas all over the place.

What it is:

Money Taco exists to help anyone who wants to improve in managing their daily financial situation. If you've ever asked yourself any of the following questions:

1) How much money do I have right now?

2) Why is saving money for emergencies/goals so difficult?

3) How can I not live pay check to pay check.

Then I made this product for you.

While there are many apps that promise to help you manage your money better, Money Taco tells you your bank account balance without you having to ask it. It's like a fuel gauge for your bank account. My research shows that when people have greater situational awareness of their account balances they spend less and save more.

After building a few early prototypes I really started to see the value in this unique product. My goal right now is to test the concept on a larger scale now that I know it works.

How it works:

The device works by getting the balance from your bank account in real time. It also figures out a range of money, for example from $300 - $3000. The device constantly checks your bank account and visualizes your balance using the lights. For example, if your balance is $1000 and your device is setup to have a minimum of $100 and a maximum of $2000. You would have 5 lights lit. Cool heh?
