Few things make IaC more accessible than being able to write it in the language that you know and love, using the patterns and IDE that you're already accustomed to. Perhaps even cooler than that though, Pulumi's Automation API breaks away from the traditional CICD paradigm by handing you all of the programmatic firepower to manage complex deployments without needing to wrestle with so much scripting.
