Software designed to respect people.

About

I’m Joshua, an indie developer building Humanova — a small studio focused on calm, human-first apps. I make tools and games that reduce friction rather than create it. No dark patterns, no pressure loops, no “optimising engagement.” Just software that respects your time and attention. I’m neurodivergent (autism and ADHD), which shapes how I design — everything I build aims to feel clear, steady, and usable without overwhelm. Right now I’m shipping fast, learning fast, and figuring things out in public. Some apps will land, some won’t — but all of them are built with care. If something I’ve made helps even a little, that’s enough.

22 Seconds - Match thinking with an ai companion

WHAT IS 22 SECONDS? 22 Seconds is a calm, minimal word game where you try to match a single word with an AI companion. You’re both given the same broad subject. Every 22 seconds, you each commit to one word. If your words match, you’re done. If they don’t you try again. There’s no chat, no direct coordination. Just you, another mind, and the slow process of finding the same idea with only the lightest hints of feedback between rounds.
