Before BudgetBro, I ran a contracting business in Greater Manchester, growing it to £1M+ annual turnover in my early twenties. I hired teams, managed projects, and learned fast that business is mostly solving unexpected problems. When COVID hit, I exited and went travelling across South America, Southeast Asia, and Europe. Living cheaply and meeting other backpackers (one of whom is now my wife), I noticed a pattern—everyone was juggling apps, spreadsheets, or mental maths just to manage travel finances. Nothing was built for long-term travellers. So I created BudgetBro. Now, with a small team, we’re building it into the go-to financial companion for travellers, starting with budgeting and expanding into a full travel ecosystem.
