About
Traveler, founder, and wheelchair user making the world more accessible. I’m passionate about making travel more accessible for people with disabilities. I have a disability myself and use a power wheelchair, and I’ve never let that stop me from exploring the world. Originally from Canada, I’ve lived in Japan since 2007 and became a Japanese citizen in 2016. I created Accessible Japan, the leading English-language resource for travelers with disabilities visiting Japan, and tabifolk, a global community where people share information and experiences about accessible travel. I work with tourism boards, governments, and industry leaders to improve accessibility worldwide, and I’m always looking for new ways technology can empower travelers to explore with confidence.
