About
I build structured analytical frameworks for complex, multi-variable decisions, and I write about what happens when institutions replace their purposes with proxy metrics. For four years I ran venture development at the Arizona Commerce Authority: a statewide startup competition, a portfolio of 40-plus funded companies with 40-plus exits, and three accelerator programs built from scratch. I left as Director of Venture Development. Now I'm independent. I consult founders on operations and organizational design, the unglamorous machinery that quietly breaks as a company scales, and increasingly on the structural risks that don't fit on a standard risk register.
