PS Why the name "Desss"? What (if anything) does the app name mean?

LoΓ―c, I like this app! Very simple (in a good way) and very cool. The doodle/sketch space seems kind of crowded (and perhaps somewhat dead after Draw Something) but I believe there's still a lot of interesting possibilities ahead, almost everyone likes to doodle and share drawings. I'd like to see Apple Pencil come to the iPad Air and Mini sometimes soon (want the Pencil for drawing but not on...

Sad I missed this before it was taken down-- a bit surprised (or maybe not so surprised) by Apple's response.

Only a second test today outdoors in the wild with the Watch version of GPS-A-Sketch, but wanted to quickly share a preview here: http://i.imgur.com/5Kw1TUz.png This upcoming Watch version is a second screen and remote control fitness companion to the iPhone app. Several new walk/bike/run related features are incorporated too, including the ordinary stuff you'd expect in any fitness app-- e.g....

As for sharing sketches, you can sign-in (from the settings tab) to the GPS-A-Sketch app with Facebook or Twitter and choose to "broadcast" (post) your sketches to either network; i.e. after sign-in and also from the settings view, flip the "Social Broadcast" switch to on: http://i.imgur.com/Z9ytFcI.png Login (and sharing on FB or TW) is totally optional, so if you prefer there's also anonymous...

@everywheresean thanks -- and sorry, yes, iOS only for now. But an Android version is definitely on the road map, when I demo or talk about the app Android is usually one of the topmost requests.

Thank you, Ben and Ryan! The sketching algorithm itself has a few surprises built in, no two routes will ever be exactly alike. Just as in the real sketching toy there's some skill, art, and serendipity involved in creating the perfect sketch. We're busy adding new features to GPS-A-Sketch which make it even more useful as an exercise app, e.g. displaying distance & duration; and an Apple Watch...

Ah, fond memories of my old Canon 814 Super8MM camera (circa 1972). This kinda reads like a physical manifestation of the Hipstamatic app.

Reading through today's press release and docs, and digesting yet another BLE beacon software standard.... A lot of promise for beacon tech (e.g. iBeacon, Gimbal, Estimote, etc.) and a lot of good hardware and accompanying SDKs, but no big breakout consumer beacon/proximity app (yet).

Extremely impressive UI/UE, i.e. selecting, trimming, positioning, and resizing images was extremely simple and intuitive. As a user I found making collages a lot of fun and immediately addictive. As a developer I was impressed with the app's design, execution, and solid bug-free performance.
