It seems like AirPods are a bit like Marmite - you either love them or hate them. While they hurt my ears after I wear them for too long and the sound quality doesn't compare to my over ear Sennheiser I still love my AirPods for days where I'm doing lots of calls on the move or working out at the gym. They are incredibly intuitive and love the tap functionality. What's your view?
I've noticed recently that YouTube are offering me very tempting free trials to upgrade to their ad-free version which also includes original premium content. While I was excited by the idea of ad-free YouTube when they announced the news a few years back, as a frugal person I never made the investment. Do you pay for ad-free YouTube, and if so, do you feel it's worth it?
Netflix's Chief Product Officer recently announced they will be clamping down on customers who share their passwords with others. They hope to do this without alienating users. I'm *that* person who still has an account on their parent's Netflix subscription so I don't even have my own (yet). In the latest episode of "Product Hunt Radio" for example, Drift's CTO Elias Torres talked about being an extrovert and how he loves spending time across every department including customer success. Instagram announced that this week they will start removing likes displayed on certain accounts, prompting stars like Nikki Minaj to say they will no longer post on the platform if likes are removed (article here). How would the change impact your relationship with the app?
I've removed some apps because of the privacy setting requirements e.g. access to contacts when I don't feel its an essential part of enjoying the app's features. Curious to see the results.
