I grew up in some of the most dangerous neighborhoods on Chicago's south side. I've been homeless. I lost my mother in high school. Then nine years carrying a badge, walking into situations most people spend their lives avoiding. Picked up a B.S. in Criminal Justice and a Master's in Cybersecurity — because threats to a family stopped ending at the front door. They come online now. Now I'm in the Bay Area, building. I run The Modern Protector, teaching men to protect family, mind, home, and future. And I ship software: Scanzy for QR codes, and NueCue, a voice-aware teleprompter that catches your flubs and cuts them for you — because I got tired of re-recording the same line eleven times. Same instinct behind all of it: see it coming, then build the thing that stops it.
