I currently work in product on a materials management system and formerly worked at Epic Systems (synonymous with electronic health records). I started college as a pre-med and biomedical engineering major. During med school application prep, every physician I spoke to told me that I wouldn’t be able to help patients in the way I wanted to, that I would be bogged down with administrative work, and “don’t become a doctor.” I then decided switching into software was the correct move for me, because in software you scale improvements to an infinite number of users. That is why I built Staqc.
