What are your best resources for marketing a new app?

Obviously, PH. But I'm curious as to what other resources you've successfully used, especially if your product is a Mac OS app? Thanks.

How did you get your first article about your product/company published?

We're still a young+small company, but we think our product can already provide good value to new users. We've been publishing our blog posts on Twitter, Medium, and Linkedin as well as cold emailing some media outlets, but haven't gained any real traction.

What was your first product?

Today I launched #32 on PH and was thinking back to the first software product I made. It was a simple .exe popup I sent to a few friends...they had to type 'Andrew is awesome' before it would go away I was so pleased...

What are your 3 most important metrics to track?

I know there will be more than 3 but what are the most important ones for you? Bonus point if you tell me what kind of product are you working on too :)

How did you grow/find your first group of users to a MVP product you just launched?

I'm a junior product marketer looking for advice. My team and I just launched a service called RoundUp, which is a free Chrome extension made for HR professionals. It's like a memopad that pops open inside Google Meet, where they can fill out candidate reviews once the interview is over - and it automatically links to a Dashboard, where HR folks can see everything in one place. It's got very basic features (so a MVP) and of course there are many things we need to get to. I'm new to doing product marketing and would love some advice from those who's gone through this phase of trying to grow the userbase from a grassroots perspective. What was the best way to get users on your site/product/service at the beginning? Were people willing to give you feedback and advice? (How did you find them?) Would love to hear your stories/kind advice!

I’m Marie, my startup just pivoted and rebranded, AMA šŸ”„

I've had a wild ride of a career as an exec in large corporations and as a startup founder. I worked with celebrities in the alcohol industry and on $26 billion worth of M&A deals. Then I built multiple products (some of which are ) as part of my own startup journey. I ve won awards for my comedy writing and was named Product Hunt Maker of the Year in 2019 . Recently I pivoted my business from a document search tool to a product for IT teams to protect company documents from unauthorized access. Also, I like to meditate, burn sage, commune with nature, and collect crystals. I'll be here on 06/10 at 11 am pt to answer any and all questions about startups, pivots, product development, remote work, personal development, transitioning from corporate to startups, writing, the future, and me . What is the best marketing growth hack that you actually used and saw results?

Here is one of my all time favorites... Writing Pillar Statistics Posts to Get Loads of Quality Passive Backlinks I have used a pretty simple formula to get over a 1000 unique referring domain backlinks every year. Step 1 Find the keyword statistic phrases in your niche that have a search volume of 50+. For example, if you had a dog blog or website, then some of the phrases would be; dog bite statistics, dog owner statistics, service dog statistics. Step 2 Look at the first two pages of Google results and identify the post with the most statistics by looking at the titles. If the highest number is "37 Dog Bite Statistics," then your post title would take it a notch higher with "50 Eye Opening Dog Bite Statistics." Step 3 Compile a great blog post with a list of 50 stats and organize them for easy scanning. Every time a news reporter has a story about a dog attack, they go straight to Google looking for some stats to include in their article. They typically click on the Google result with the highest number in the title. After they grab a stat or two from your post, they link the stat on their article back to your post. What's your best growth hack?
