Art is a great beachhead into becoming the defacto platform for Augmented attractions, I can see a lot of tourist sites being interested in sponsoring, creating, but also regulating content that is hosted on Snapchat, but viewed on their property. A lot of interesting questions to run headfirst into.

This is a really nice looking tool, but seems to have some odd cities missing... Portland, OR is missing which seems odd, but the tiny Oregon town of Klamath Falls is in the data set.

This is a product that has really come at the right time. The dominant voices in media (social or traditional) skew wildly in the direction of death, drama, and scandal. And the nature of the web today means you need to make a concerted effort just to moderate the bad news you see everyday to say nothing of introducing good news into your feeds. Consider me thoroughly onboard.

A great conversation via @macmartine with Mike Perham on how he got the idea for Sidekiq: the open source side project he's grown into a Million dollar a year business. Conversation runs through how he was initially inspired, how he planned to monetize early on, and growing it into a real business. From licenses early on to commercial extensions that wound up 10x-ing his early income with...

My biggest concern here for FB would be that people start associating Facebook with work (and all its stresses and obligations) and start to disengage from their personal Facebook accounts. I like having tools that leverage many of the good UX experiences I have on social media, but I appreciate the separation I have now between work and the rest of my life... This seems to accelerate the trend...

This appears to be one step closer to the key pain points for Twitter users: Moments is only highly impactful if people's feeds aren't already serving that same need. The solution is to improve people's feeds so they can see more relevant content more frequently. The next enhancement I want is to not just follow people, but follow their content stream... show me why I might be interested in...

I feel there was a missed opportunity to say "Get a SeeNote for C-note if you pre-order". I'm offering this pun to you free of charge to re-use at your leisure. I appreciate the concept here, it seems like a great antidote to the idea of smart appliances or hubs... which to me always seemed superfluous to the idea of a few upgradeable devices. The SeeNote is to a "smart" appliance what a Roku...

I really appreciate using digital displays as an enhancement on top of tactile interfaces (like a knob). The trend of replacing every interface with a touch screen loses out on some intuitive interactions that we've honed over decades of industrial product design. I think this is a nice example of marrying the two.

What is a good zip code I can enter with some known pre-registered dealerships? I'm outside your beta area in Portland, but i'd like to poke around a bit.

This feels like Reddit meets Pinterest meets Tumblr, but with Google's signature UX. Community, but with comment threads, collections, and a personal page. They of course can't help but benefit from getting google traffic directed to them when one of their special interest collections gets big enough, too.

I like the simplicity of this... I see a lot of opportunity for apps providing more "passive" content for the TV screen.

I love this. Great intersection of whimsy, utility, integration and open source... and it gets double points for being a West Wing reference as well. Its great to watch a lot of these onboarding workflows quickly build up, it clearly shows what a need there has been for something like this across so many orgs.
