We scratched our own itch here. Developed something for ourselves and then decided to release as a 100% free tool for everyone. Long story short: I was looking for a free & easy app to embed into my CMS and generate "social covers" automatically. You know, those open graph images that show up in social networks next to a shared link... We tried some free ones (e.g. motif - which is based on...

No plugins, no Chrome extensions, just a modern browser required. Click a button to record the screen (or a specific app), then click another button to share the video online via File.io, Imgur or Dropbox. Or just download it privately.

This is our free "just for fun" weekend project developed during the COVID-19 lockdown when people need as many simple video connectivity tools as possible: to provide remote technical support or show a less technical family member "how to do X".

My favorite feature is quickly navigating to the HN discussion on the piece I'm currently reading.

AutoText inserts a frequently used phrase when you type an abbreviation. Works in any software (text editor, internet browser etc.). It's a great Windows alternative for the famous "Text Expander" on the Mac.

We kinda scratched our own itch here. I needed to clean our 50k emails list and found, that existing products allow you to clean first 500 emails for free and then charge you like 1 cent per email. Not that we couldn't afford it, but I believe a simple tool like this should be free. So we built this over the weekend and released it to the public. Please share your feedback!

Everyone's moving to HTTPS these days. Because it's more secure, because Google favors SSL websites, because anyone can get a free SSL certificate these days etc. etc. But if one of your pages contains an embedded resource (script, image, css file) with an non-secure absolute address - users will start seeing scary warnings and error popups in their browsers. This free tool will quickly crawl...
