Hi everyone! I’m Jigar, the solo founder behind CommitBlock. 🚀
I ve spent the last 5 years as a full-stack dev, and I realized I had a recurring problem: The Execution Gap. I would spend hours building the perfect roadmap in Linear or Notion, but when it came time to actually code, I d get sidelined by repetitive admin tasks or end up doom-scrolling.
I built CommitBlock(https://commitblock.com) to solve my own lack of discipline. I wanted something that didn't just 'track' my work, but actually helped me execute it.
What makes it different:
Active Agents: Instead of a blank screen, our agents pull context from your tasks to draft the boilerplate, specs, and summaries for you.
Hard Enforcement: I found that 'Do Not Disturb' wasn't enough. CommitBlock hard-blocks distracting apps at the OS level so you literally can't procrastinate during a focus block.
Skin in the Game: You can pledge a small stake to your goals. Losing $5 is often a better motivator than a gold star on a calendar.
I built a tool to fix the "Execution Gap" between planning and doing.
Hey everyone! I ve spent 5 years in full-stack dev and realized that planning (Jira/Notion) is easy, but execution is where most people fail because of "friction" tasks and distractions.
I m building a project to solve this. It s an active engine that:
Automates Boilerplate: Uses AI agents to handle the repetitive "friction" tasks (summaries, drafting) so you stay in flow.
Hard Enforcement: Blocks distractions at the OS level during focus sessions.
Syncs Deadlines: Protects your calendar based on actual project priority.
I'm curious for those of you building solo, what s the #1 "admin" task that kills your focus?
Solving the "Execution Gap" vs. just another Planning Tool.
I ve spent 5 years as a full-stack dev and I ve noticed that planning (Jira/Notion) is a solved problem, but execution is where most founders fail. I m building a tool to bridge this gap.
The Approach:
Active Agents: Instead of just listing tasks, AI agents execute repetitive admin (drafts, summaries, scheduling) based on the user's workspace context.
Hard Enforcement: OS-level blocking of distracting apps during scheduled "Focus Blocks."
