Happy Monday! Back in 2019, @rjs open-sourced how product development happens at Basecamp in a book called "Shape Up: Stop Running in Circles and Ship Work that Matters." TL,DR:
6-week cycles
Shaping the work
Making teams responsible
Targeting risks
We started experimenting with Shape Up a few weeks ago to define focused projects, address unknowns, and increase collaboration and engagement within the team. I'm curious to know if anyone here has implemented it, too? How do you apply it to your own processes? What are your best practices?
Hey all! We're launching a new newsletter called Maker Stacks. It's all about makers and the tools they use for different parts of their careers. Our first guest is Ben Lang, who joined Notion way back in 2019 as the company's head of community and grew the community to what it is today! Ben will be talking about the products he uses to stay productive and build communities. Want to be among the first to read it? Sign up here.
I see that hunter have a big following and by having a Hunter you can have access to that following, my question is this, do we really need a Hunter? And do Makers followers get notifications too?
Campfire is an installable, self-hosted group chat system. You get the code to host it yourself. Customize it however you’d like. Use it as your primary chat, backup chat, educational material, a private space, for conferences/communities, or for boards.
Do you feel anxious about losing your Product Hunt daily streak 😰? Does switching between light and dark mode windows hurt your eyes? Good news, the Unofficial Product Hunt Plugin will keep your blood pressure down and help reduce eye strains 😎.
We've been building Zintlr for a while. Our Main product launch is happening for the first time. We want to finish as one of the top products. We might do a few workshops where we talk about our product, and anyone who likes the idea could upvote. Need ideas, and tips before we go live on the coming Tuesday.
I'd love to hear about that. For me, it's instagram! By the way, this is NOT a discussion made for just getting upvotes, feel free to vote without upvoting! I really need this info for something I'm planning for my product. Thanks!! Edit: I'm not sure PH tells me how many people voted, so pls notify it somehow if you do vote Edit 2: Just kidding, I found a way to get the votes from the DevTools. Feature request, PH? :D Edit 3: I was just told that - from mobile - the Poll is not visible. Wow, PH! you can do better than this haha. Well, if you're from mobile, please write "X, twitter" or "instagram" in the comments. Edit 4: if you guys want to connect on X: https://twitter.com/gab_creates
Wondering if there are affiliate marketers on this platform, We just launched a 40% recurring revenue program that lasts a lifetime. If your interested check it out! - https://www.netjet.io/en/affiliates
Product Hunt unveiled a list of 18 dev-first products nominated for the Golden Kitty Award 2023 in the Developer Tools category. I analyzed the following data to identify some trends:
To be completely honest, I feel overwhelmed by trying to keep up with all the AI products. I look at the Product Hunt home page and it seems like every product incorporates AI. 1. How are you keeping up with the AI products that are most useful to you or your team, and 2. what do you use them for? (And if you're recommending your own product, please specify!) I know there's newsletters, but selecting one to follow even seems overwhelming because there's so many of them. Thank you so much in advance!
