About

As Johns Hopkins University employee, I spent 39 years working in medical research and education. In the last 17 years, my focus was on infectious diseases in resource limited settings, from HIV in Baltimore City to multidrug resistent tuberculosis in rural South Africa. As a result of work in Uganda, a team of us developed a mobile application to assist with data collection and patient engagement. This led to the founding of Scene Health (formerly emocha). I currently serve as an Advisor to the company, now heavily focused on medication adherence.
