Producer James Simon’s path to becoming a renowned Broadway producer was not conventional. While many enter the theater world through acting, he initially started as a performer, participating in school and camp productions during his childhood. His love for theater, however, did not stop there. He pursued other avenues, including college and radio, before ultimately finding his place behind the scenes as a producer. Born and raised in Bronxville, New York, James attended Emerson College in Boston, where he studied communications. After completing his studies, he worked briefly in radio before moving to New York City in the early '90s to pursue acting full-time. Like many aspiring actors, he took on multiple jobs to support his passion.
