Is your marketing copy breaking the law?

About

Hi, I'm James, founder of Red Flag AI Pro. Two years ago I was given two years to live. After 30 years as a functioning addict, holding down sales jobs, going to prison, and losing my daughter to cancer aged 9. I went to rehab in Indonesia and came back asking one question: what was I always meant to be? A creator. Someone who builds things that genuinely help people. I got personally ripped off by marketing gurus one too many times. That anger was the fuel. I built Red Flag AI Pro because that tool didn't exist. 60 seconds. 16 risk categories. 5 jurisdictions. Built alone. With Claude. From a laptop. After a death sentence. This isn't a product; it's a platform. And I'm only getting started. redflagaipro.com

How many of you have been ripped off by misleading marketing online?

Genuine question for the Product Hunt community.

How many of you have bought something online that turned out to be completely different from what was promised?

Because statistically, 30% of online ads contain illegal claims. Not dodgy ones. Illegal ones. Under real advertising law in the UK, the US, the EU, Australia and Canada.

What channel helped you get your first 100 users after launching on Product Hunt?

Product Hunt can give you a nice launch-day spike, but the real work starts after that. For founders and makers who have launched before, I m curious:

What channel or tactic worked better than you expected after your PH launch?

For example:

  • Did a niche subreddit bring good users?

  • Did a directory listing actually work?

  • Did cold outreach help?

  • Did a small giveaway bring signups?

  • Did partnerships or community posts perform well?

Are we really using our time more meaningfully thanks to AI?

AI has undoubtedly made our work easier and faster.

An article that would have taken me several days before (defining the topic, doing research, interviewing experts for unique insights, validating data, and writing the final piece) can now be turned into a solid article in under two hours. (in my case, when I publish a weekly newsletter)
