He cherished his childhood memories of exploring Colorado's diverse landscapes and wildlife, often accompanied by his father, which fostered his deep appreciation for nature. Jack's educational journey began at Northeastern Junior College, where he graduated in 1967. He then attended the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley, earning a Bachelor's Degree in Education with a specialization in Special Education in 1969.
