I build Lirova, a recovery tool for subscription payments that fail on the card. Expired cards, insufficient funds, bank declines — the customer never cancelled, the charge just didn't go through, and it never shows up as churn anywhere. The part that surprised me building it: retrying harder is the wrong answer. The decline code decides everything, and some of them should never be retried at all. Eight years full-stack, NestJS and PHP, currently solo out of Ukraine.
