The sample file I downloaded from the vendor’s website looks ok. It had the basic geolocation data, including the coordinates. It also contained the type of connection that could help us optimize page load speed depending on the user’s Internet connection type. We’ll see.

This data feed may help my business avoid freemium abusers (a struggle for SaaS companies). I just downloaded the sample database they provided and found a couple of the disposable email domains on my client list. We’re currently analyzing the accounts’ usage data to see signs of abuse. For a SaaS startup, I find Email Verification API’s free subscription plan to be pretty helpful. I get 1,000 free queries per month, which should be enough for now. As my business scales, I may to upgrade to a paid subscription provided that everything goes well.
