Custom backend with a UI dashboard or simple Google Sheet?

Thank you for the feedback. If you were in a situation where you had a cool landing page, extremely easy to manage, and you had to choose between a custom backend with a dashboard featuring a nice user interface (UI), or to opt for a basic and simple Google Sheet, what would you prefer?
