I m building Immimaps, a free check that reads an immigration quote or contract against the official rules of the programme. This month I asked 20 licensed firms in Canada and Australia for a quote in writing, as an applicant from Vietnam, and scored every reply on the same seven lines. Most quotes miss at least three.
The firm s fee and exactly what it covers
The government fees shown as separate lines
How payment is spread, and what is due before anything is filed
What happens to the fee if the application is refused
The licence or registration number, so you can look the adviser up
A written agreement to sign before any money moves
Who you turn to if it goes wrong
If you have a quote or a contract in hand, paste the fee section here with the names removed, or run it through the check at immimaps.com/risk-audit. I ll say which of the seven it skips and where its government figures sit against the official table. Two honest limits: I won t say whether you ll be approved, nobody can from a quote, and I don t read UK or Australian documents, where only licensed advisers may comment on a case.
