About

Senior Software Engineer, 10+ years building security and high-scale systems. I've built AI-powered threat detection at SecurityScorecard (analyzing billions of signals), secured fintech payment auth flows, and shipped high-traffic APIs at Globo.com. I kept hitting the same gap: serious security tooling exists for big companies, but almost nothing gives a normal person that protection on their own machine without shipping their data to someone's cloud. So I built avai: open-source, local-first, with an AI analyst that explains every finding in plain English. Free, runs entirely on your machine, your data stays yours. I also maintain LightAPI and other open-source Python projects. Happy to talk security, Python, or building in the open.

AI runs our code, email, and sales, so why is nothing watching our own machines?

We've handed AI the keys to almost everything except the one device holding our passwords and files. The only "AI security" tools that exist ship your data to a cloud to analyze it. Genuine question for this community: would you actually run an AI security tool if it stayed 100% local and never uploaded anything? Or has antivirus burned everyone out for good?

Thanks!

avai - you AI anti virus scanner - There's a copilot for your code. Why not for your machine?

Why is no one talking about AI for the protection of our own machines? A free, open-source security guard for your computer. avai checks the places malware hides and has an AI explain, in plain English, whether anything is dangerous. Nothing leaves your machine.
