Ian Schick is a patent attorney turned builder who’s spent his career at the intersection of law and technology. After practicing at Pillsbury Winthrop, he went on to create the first AI patent drafting engine (Specifio) and later Paximal, an enterprise platform trusted by leading law firms. Now he’s tackling the founder side of the problem: making strong provisional patents fast, affordable, and accessible to startups. His mission is simple — help founders protect their ideas from day one with filings that attorneys and investors actually want to build on.
