What tools best enable your remote team to collaborate and do great work?

Remote has been on the rise for years, but Covid has forced all companies to adjust to it over the past few months. I'm curious to know: 1. What tools are indispensable for your team to get work done? Which do you love the most and why? 2. What tools/rituals help your team still feel a sense of togetherness / build culture? 3. What are the biggest missing pieces to your remote team toolkit, or things that cause the biggest pain points? I'm compiling all the results and will share that publicly (and on PH of course). The more data and opinions, the better!

How many tiers should you have for a consumer SaaS product?

We are building a consumer SaaS product, our business model is paid subscription. Since it will cost us money every time we have a user (paid to 3rd party API providers), we can't really do free plans. Question is, should we try to have multiple tiers and plans? or is it better to have just one price? I've been researching this on Google but have not really found an ultimate resource or answer. Any insights? Current plan is to have 4 plans: A - $99 B - $29 C - $19 D - $9 The main differences is the higher you go the more users you can have as well as more history, more accounts, etc.

Is Idea Validation important to you?

I've been going down a rabbit hole recently around idea validation. In the past, when starting a business of project, I have done everything from blindly pursuing the idea until something worked (often hard) right through to doing a more formal testing of the idea (worth it but harder to be objective). I'm curious. How do PH people do idea validation? If you have a great idea, what are your next steps? Edit: there have been some really fantastic thoughts and suggestions here! Starting with the end-user in mind is key, in an effort to understand their pains. I'm still curious as to how to ascertain market demand. Where do you go to see potential demand for an idea?
