I’m the anonymous solo developer behind HoldSPOT. I come from a cybersecurity background, so I build privacy-first and security-first: no accounts, no emails, no corporate tracking, a public ledger, and constant auditing. I’m a dad to two small kids, and I run everything on a shoestring - fee tiers, shared hosting, vibe coding, repurposed old laptops on solar power. Openly about what I build, what breaks, and what I believe. I’d rather stay anonymous and let the system prove itself.

Hold your $POT on the real world map!
HoldSPOT is a free, anonymous, browser-based strategy game played on the real-world map.

- Markers as ads/post-its: You drop a marker anywhere. It s a public claim like a post-it or ad pinned to the map that says I m here. Visibility is life; there are no HP bars or armies.

- Battles: Players fight over markers by moving Visibility from one marker to another. When a marker hits zero Visibility, it dies and its territory opens again. The map keeps score publicly.

- Economy & tokens: It uses a closed token economy with three tokens: Liquidity (trading), Value (worth), and Engagement (presence). Every token movement is recorded on a public, append-only ledger; balances are computed from ledger entries and audited every five minutes. Tokens enter through free code drops, free raffles, and voluntary donations no money required, no accidental printing, no pay-to-win.

Hold$POT is a place where you add your sticky notes on the real world map. It can be anything, from buying, selling, dating, even gathering can be placed anywhere in the world. All anonymous and secure. Imagine being able to see everyone but no one can see you, unless you want it, of course. We add a gamification layer with battles, armory, items, shop, an internal economy based on tokens, public ledger to see all tokens minted, huge analytics, simple project management and many more.
