Chief Architect specialising in infrastructure modernisation and cloud transformation, with a pragmatic approach that pairs deep technical knowledge with strategic AI integration. I don't see infrastructure problems as obstacles, I see them as invitations to innovate. Currently building Ballast, a control plane for Hyper-V born out of the VMware licensing shakeup, and a genuine test case for how far AI-amplified development can go when it's paired with real infrastructure expertise directing it. I use AI as a force multiplier, not a replacement for expertise. Ballast - Hyper-V control plane that keeps working offline

Ballast is a control plane and agent for Hyper-V hosts and failover clusters. The agent runs on each host and keeps enforcing its last-known-good config if the centre goes offline, catching back up automatically once reachable again. Community edition is free forever for one cluster of any size plus unlimited standalone hosts. The agent is open source (Apache 2.0); the centre is closed source. Built primarily with Claude Code under my direction, tested against real Hyper-V hosts and clusters.
