As a new MacOS user, which came from Windows, I was used to right click the desktop and create a .txt file to take notes using NotePad that was fully offline, lightweight and efficient. Then delete it. Even the Notes app from Apple is too broad for me to quickly take notes, ends up with notes that are easily forgettable, daub is made to be ephemeral. So I built daub, lives in the menu bar, open...

daubThe quick note taker macOS is missing.
Every note app eventually becomes a filing system. You end up spending more time organising than thinking.
daub is different. It's ephemeral by design, a floating surface for thoughts, bugs, and ideas that appear while you're deep in work. No folders, no accounts, no residue.

daubThe quick note taker macOS is missing.
