I've tried a number of AI job hunting aids. Autobiographer provides the best insights, advice, and the best resume and cover letter tailoring.
What needs improvement
I'd love further conversations with AI to evaluate its results and tighten even further. I sometimes downlaod the results to Claude to do this. There's an opportunity to provide alternative job searching, rather than Jobright's scraping of LinkedIn.
vs Alternatives
Jobright. OK for searching and general resume development. Long-winded in AI-generated resumes and cover letters. Reads too generic and obviously AI. Tends to pull out strange keywords.
Autobiographer doesn't handle searches, and requires a well-done resume as input, but then does a great job for final tailoring.

Can I control tone and writing style outputs?
There are some general controls, and you can request a rewrite with a critique.
Can I import multiple JDs and compare fit quickly?
There's a batch mode for multiple JDs which will compare each JD with your background. It doesn't compare JDs between each other.
