I'm Zhou Jingfeng, an indie developer. Today, I want to share a deep dive into my latest project: Ghostcore.

I built this app out of deep frustration with the current software ecosystem. Today, almost every utility app is desperate for network permissions, forces you to create an account, and takes it for granted that your private data should be synced to their cloud servers.

For truly high-value and highly sensitive data, the complex "cloud encryption algorithms" touted by mainstream commercial products don't give me a real sense of security. I believe in simplicity at the code level and reject unnecessary abstractions. So, I decided to strip away all the bloat and build a physically isolated digital cold wallet myself.
