Serial founder in medical diagnostics

About

Most people who build health apps have never sat across from a patient. My wife Dagmara has, over 600 times, with a clinical trichoscope, in her salon. She kept seeing the same thing. People whose blood results looked "fine" on paper but whose scalp told a completely different story. Nobody had built anything to connect those two pictures. I've spent 30 years in medical diagnostics, AI models for skin microbime, EU regulatory pathways, an IPO, a $55m exit. When Dagmara described the gap, I recognised it immediately. Órga Hair is our answer to that problem. "A trichologist in your pocket", built by the people who couldn't leave the problem alone.

I retired early from a 30-year career in medical diagnostics. My wife's data pulled me back out.

I'm Gerry, co-founder and technology partner of Orga Hair, which we launched here two days ago.

Before rga Hair existed, my wife Dagmara, a Digital AI Trichology Expert running a trichology salon in Poland, spent 18 months building a custom salon app to capture medical-grade trichoscope data at four magnification levels across 600 clients. The kind of imaging used in clinical dermatology, inside a hair salon.

Orga Hair - Living Profile - A Trichologist in Your Pocket

Most hair loss apps track photos. Orga Hair "Living Profile" tracks the whole picture, builds over time, combining scalp images, daily check-ins, and blood biomarker analysis. This gets smarter the longer you use it. Enter your ferritin, vitamin D, or B12 results and get evidence-based context specific to your hair and scalp health. Free, always. Geo-local recommendations. A clinical export your GP can actually use. Built on 18 months of real clinical validation.

What's the PROBLEM your product solves?

In the month that I've been here, I've been noticing a pattern in a lot of launches - strong demos, polished UI, clear outputs of "what it does."

But when I ask myself "What problem does this solve?" I sometimes have to dig for the answer. (I come by that thinking honestly - I've spent 33 years building and fixing businesses, so this is the lens I can't turn off.)
